Task and frontline workers
Single-purpose machines that stay single-purpose.
Shop-floor, warehouse and production PCs exist to run one workflow. XPC makes sure that is all they ever show.
The short answer
How do you limit a shared shop-floor PC to one application?
Enable XPC Mode on the Windows PC and publish the single session or application the role requires. Workers get a branded screen with one thing on it, no desktop, and no way to install or change software. Scanners, label printers and other attached devices continue to work because Windows and its drivers stay in place.

Built for shared, high-turnover use
Frontline PCs are used by many people, often briefly, often in a hurry. A single screen with a single action removes both training and risk from the endpoint.
Industrial peripherals keep working
Barcode scanners, label printers, weighing equipment and handheld cradles depend on Windows drivers and vendor utilities. XPC leaves them untouched.
- Barcode and RFID scanners
- Label and document printers
- Touchscreens and ruggedised displays
- Vendor utilities and driver stacks
Reuse the hardware you have
Frontline PCs are often older. Because the work happens in the session, an ageing machine remains perfectly capable as an XPC endpoint.
At the desk
What the user actually sees.
- A branded screen with the one workflow the role needs
- No desktop, browser or settings
- Attached scanners and printers working as before
- The same clean screen at the start of every shift

Frontline operations
One job, one screen, every shift.
XPC turns general-purpose Windows PCs into purpose-built terminals without changing the hardware or the operating system.
Questions we are asked
Straight answers.
Can a machine present more than one workflow?
Yes. Publish as many or as few sessions and applications as the role needs; the screen shows exactly what you publish.
Do we need new hardware?
No. XPC runs on the Windows PCs already on the floor.
What if a supervisor needs full access?
Leave supervisor machines out of XPC Mode, or take a machine out of XPC Mode from the portal when full access is required.
