The problem is the desktop, not the operating system

Most endpoint frustration in a remote-session estate comes from what surrounds the session, not the session itself. Windows works. The desktop around it is the part that invites users to open local apps, save files in the wrong place, change settings they were never meant to touch, or leave a disconnected session running on a machine they have walked away from.

What XPC changes, and what it deliberately does not

XPC replaces the user-facing shell with a single access screen: your logo, your colours, your wording, and the connections you have approved — plus the endpoint actions users legitimately need, such as disconnect, restart and shut down. Everything below that line is untouched, on purpose.

If a device needs the full Windows desktop back for an hour, a day or permanently, an authorised administrator restores it. No reimage, no bench time, no truck roll.

Is a Windows PC running XPC still a Windows PC?

Yes. Windows remains installed, patched and managed exactly as before. XPC changes what the user sees, not what IT manages.

Do I need to buy thin-client hardware?

No. XPC runs on the Windows PCs you already own, which is usually the fastest and cheapest way to get a thin-client experience.

Can users get back to the Windows desktop?

Only if you allow it. XPC Mode is enabled and suspended centrally from the XPC Cloud Portal by an authorised administrator.

Does XPC replace my management tools?

No. XPC is not an RMM, an EDR or a device-management platform. It sits alongside the tools you already use and expects them to keep running.

How long does a deployment take?

Three steps: log in to the XPC Cloud Portal, install the MSI through your existing software-deployment method, then enable XPC Mode for the devices you choose.

What does it cost?
