Maximum focus and endpoint lockdown

The user-facing Windows desktop is replaced by the XPC access environment. This is the most controlled experience, and the right default for PCs whose job is reaching an approved remote workspace — Citrix, RDP/RDS, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, Horizon, WorkSpaces, Parallels RAS or a browser workspace.

The Windows graphical environment keeps operating for selected local applications, processes, services or special endpoint behaviours, while the Windows desktop stays hidden and the user still receives the controlled XPC experience. The choice between the two is primarily an architectural and application compatibility decision, not a better-or-worse decision. Both deliver the same simplified, controlled XPC experience, and both keep the normal Windows desktop away from the user.

Why the price is defensible
You are buying the migration you never have to run
Comparable endpoint-conversion products are substantially more expensive because they provide an operating system and a complete management environment. One current US reseller lists an enterprise IGEL subscription renewal at US$133.99 per endpoint annually — roughly $11.17 per month — even at 5,000–9,999 endpoint volume.
UniconOS may be included in qualifying Citrix subscriptions, so XPC does not rest its case on licence-price comparisons. Its case is the avoidance of migration and operational cost:
