How XPC configuration reaches an endpoint
Configuration is defined centrally in the XPC Cloud Portal and applied to the PCs you choose.

How is an XPC endpoint configured?
Configuration lives in the XPC Cloud Portal, not on the machine. You define what a PC presents — the published sessions and applications, the branding, and whether XPC Mode is enabled — and the endpoint applies that configuration. Changing what a group of endpoints exposes is a central change; there is no need to visit the machine, log in locally or reimage.
Central by default
The portal is the single place a change is made. That is what makes XPC practical for estates spread across branches, stores, wards and campuses where nobody is available on site.
Per-PC control
XPC Mode is enabled per PC, so a pilot can cover one room, one site or one department, and can be reversed from the same screen.

It does not replace Group Policy or Intune
XPC configuration governs what the XPC screen presents. Windows configuration, security baselines and compliance continue to come from your existing management tooling.
